Françoise Dugourd-Caput - Digital

A unique artist at the crossroads of disciplines, Françoise Dugourd-Caput develops a digital body of work that is a direct continuation of her painting practice. Working with Corel Painter and a Wacom Intuos 5 graphics tablet, she transposes her instinctive gesture and approach to color into the digital realm, preserving the energy of the line, the spontaneity of the composition, and the depth of the materials. Far from any cold or purely graphic approach, her digital works possess a sensual and vibrant dimension, perfectly in line with her traditional painting.

Each piece is then printed in high quality on brushed aluminum, a medium that captures light and intensifies contrasts while lending a distinctly modern feel. The artist sometimes works manually on the surface, adding acrylic material or highlights with acrylic paint, reinforcing the uniqueness of each piece. The finished artwork is then mounted in an elegant and understated black aluminum American-style frame, ready to hang.

This hybrid work, blending technology and materials, extends Françoise Dugourd-Caput's artistic exploration of emotion, rhythm, and light. Far from opposing tradition and innovation, it reveals how digital art can become the medium for profound, controlled, and poetic personal expression.
