Background and Training: Born to Russian, German, and Italian immigrant grandparents, Gedda carries within her a rich cultural heritage. Her solid artistic training, acquired at the Bordeaux School of Fine Arts and the Sorbonne University in Paris, as well as her honorary title of Academic Knight of the Accademia Internazionale Gréci Marino, is reflected in the sophistication of her works. After working extensively with paint paste and the creation of colors from pigments and linseed oil, Gedda turned to synthetic glass and epoxy resin before returning to canvas, thus enriching her technique and artistic perspective.
