Review of the photographic work “Gold fusion”

Jean-Pierre Fleury offers us a digital transformation of a photograph illustrating his talent for creating abstraction with reality. Living in New Aquitaine on the Arcachon Basin in France, he works on his photos like a painter with his brushes.

Abstraction: If abstraction is only a focus on elements present around us, the artist uses digital tools to add depth to his works. We often use the term “abstract art” as if we think these works are incomprehensible and therefore unworthy of interest. Nevertheless, this form of expression has the capacity to open up a new universe for us. Creating an abstract image from a photograph gives free rein to the imagination of the artist and the viewer. It is therefore a powerful lever for new reflections.

Choice of model: From a simple shot, the possibility of capturing an unknown universe appears. It is after multiple shots that the artist's primordial idea can finally take shape. Here the basic image is not recognizable, it is twisted and transformed to achieve the artist's vision.

Shade: The gold color has been accentuated to create the illusion of molten material. The non-uniformity of the image suggests that the operation is in progress. Heat is felt in the same way as the nature of metal. The result is a harmony in line with the artist's research.

General atmosphere: Jean-Pierre Fleury 's work does not really show something, but it evokes an emotion that reveals ideas previously not apparent to our minds. It leaves, places, has an aesthetic imprint.

This digitized photographic work is similar to a pictorial creation. Its real origin brings the viewer a new dimension conducive to personal interpretations. It is powerful with its perfect aesthetic.
