Kandayin
Kandayin, whose real name is Dominique Charrière, was passionate about drawing and painting from a young age. It was only natural that she would pursue her artistic dreams throughout her life. She explored various mediums such as gouache, oil, acrylic, pastel, and even developed her own "recipes." Having spent over seven years studying drawing and painting, including two at the Beaux-Arts in Toulouse, she has developed her own techniques. A watercolorist, she also explored other mediums such as oil and acrylic paints, pastels, and more.
Artistic approach : Like most artists, Kandayin began with a figurative painting technique. This laid a solid artistic foundation before she developed her own style.
His philosophy rests on a simple principle : Creating works of art allows us to communicate by expressing our emotions so that they can be shared. But the value of art is not limited to mere intuitive materialization. The creative process possesses an immemorial mystery linked to our human condition. Kandayin invites us to immerse ourselves in the rich diversity of forms and colors that helps to unite us.
Her technical evolution and choices: Kandayin focused on the pastel after exploring various mediums through her experiences, particularly during her studies at the Toulouse School of Fine Arts. She currently uses pastels to create her works, structuring a personal expression of her artistic vision, somewhere between traditional motifs and abstraction.
