Behind the scenes – Jicé
In this work, Jicé once again painted the industrial universe. The structure with its platform becomes poetic under the artist's brush. It transforms cold and functional elements into a subtle and luminous painting. Jicé Jicé 's work .

Criticism of the work Behind the Scenery by Jicé
In this painting, Jicé immerses us in a poetic vision of industrial structures. This time, he focuses on the behind-the-scenes architecture of this functional, hidden world. Through its particular aesthetic, it offers us an original view of these spaces, highlighting the beauty of this world often hidden from sight.
Composition and structure:
The composition is dominated by a raised metal structure with a staircase that winds towards a suspended platform. This architecture evokes a workplace, a technical space difficult to define. The work draws its visual strength from the juxtaposition between the geometric elements and the fluidity of the creation. The choice to center the composition on this platform reinforces the verticality of the space, and immerses the viewer behind the scenes of a functional architecture.
Colors and light:
Colors play an essential role in the atmosphere of the work. Deep blue tones dominate the lower half of the canvas. They create a cool base that contrasts with the pops of yellow, white and orange. The light filters through the windows, it projects luminous bursts which evoke a nocturnal atmosphere with artificial exterior lighting. Reflections and plays of light capture the eye, creating effects of depth by accentuating the different textures present in the composition.
Textures and material:
As in his other works, Jicé explores material through skillfully worked layers. Metal, glass and surfaces are beautifully reproduced by a visual that gives the canvas a subtle quality. We feel the everyday function of the structures, as well as the solidity of the architectural elements. The mix of clean lines and abstractions brings these materials to life in an industrial and poetic context.
Symbolism and interpretation:
Behind the scenes seems to question what is hidden, forgotten or invisible to the naked eye in our industrial environments. The metal staircases, suspended structures and play of light reveal the often neglected part of this decor. Jicé invites the viewer to look beyond the surface, to discover the beauty of what seems banal or strictly utilitarian. The work could also evoke the duality between the visible and the invisible, between the back and the front, and question our perception of these technical spaces.
