Through a delicate combination of colors and shapes, Aisté Jurgilaité manages to create a composition in this painting that is not only visually calming, but also thought-provoking. Contemplate beyond appearance, seek the hidden meaning in light and shadows, let the imagination escape, such are the artist's pictorial researches.

“A work in pastel colors with warm tones where we can distinguish the contours of a boat. Image of a sea like a door in the desert. A subtle expression of mirage. » Aiste

Analysis of the work “Mirage”

Aisté Jurgilaité , born in 1971 in Lithuania, is a visual artist who graduated from the Vilnius Academy of Fine Arts in 1997, with a Master of Arts (Magister Artium). Since 2000, she has been a member of the Association of Lithuanian Artists and in 2005 obtained the status of an art creator. Jurgilaité lived and worked in France for several years before returning to Lithuania, where she continues to create and exhibit. His works, produced mainly in acrylic on canvas, are exhibited in many countries, including France, Germany, Spain, Luxembourg, Italy and Lithuania.

Description and Analysis of the work: The work “Mirage” by Aisté Jurgilaité is distinguished by its subtle abstraction and soft colors. The painting features a color palette primarily composed of warm tones such as yellow, orange and shades of blue and white, creating an atmosphere of calm and serenity. These colors mix fluidly, recalling transparency and light, two omnipresent elements in the artist's work. The abstraction of the composition is punctuated by elements which suggest reality without explicitly defining it, which leaves the viewer with freedom of interpretation. The fuzzy shapes and imprecise contours may evoke landscapes or architectural structures, but they are ambiguous enough to allow the imagination to wander. The “mirage” effect is manifested here by the fusion of colors and shapes, creating an optical illusion which symbolizes both presence and absence, the visible and the invisible.

Themes and Symbolism: The works of Aisté Jurgilaité , although largely abstract, contain realistic details, often human silhouettes, which recall the human condition, its thoughts and emotions. In “Mirage”, this juxtaposition between movement and tranquility reflects the journey of life, the contradictions and the inner thoughts of man. Calm colors and contrasts play a crucial role in this duality, evoking both peace and dynamism. The artist is inspired by transparency and light to explore the themes of the visible and invisible world, the tangible and the intangible. His paintings thus become windows to the soul, echoes of our dreams and our existence, silent messages that reveal a story or an emotion that each viewer can interpret differently.
