Transmutation – Aisté Jurgilaité
The work “Transmutation” is of great conceptual depth, a subtle reflection on transformation, both material and immaterial. Aisté Jugilaité, through the masterful use of contrasts of colors, textures and shapes, manages to express the permanent tension between creative energy and appeasement, between the visible and the invisible. This painting invites the viewer to let themselves be carried away by this perpetual movement, to feel the ephemeral and fluid nature of all things.
“An abstraction of warm yellow tones, an allusion to the transformation of one form of beauty into another. A joyful creation. » Aiste

Critical analysis of the work “Transmutation” by Aisté Jugilaité
The work imposes itself with a colorful vibration which transports the viewer to the heart of the material in perpetual mutation. This canvas, measuring 50×60 cm, invites a sensory and emotional exploration through an abstract composition, dominated by explosions of warm colors.
In this painting, Aisté Jugilaité presents us with a new variation of his mastery of acrylic on canvas, a technique which allows him to work on texture and transparency quite quickly. This is a recurring characteristic of his work. Here, it expresses change, transformation, hence the evocative title “Transmutation”. It materializes an evolution both internal and external. The palette, composed of oranges and yellows, evokes an alchemical energy, a warmth that seems to spring from the heart of the canvas. These sunny colors contrast with the more ethereal areas, dominated by softer shades of beige and blue. This thus reinforces the dialogue between movement and tranquility, between presence and absence.
The abstraction of the work does not, however, erase the link with reality. Under the thickness of the layers of paint, under the faded nuances, traces can be discerned, fleeting imprints which recall organic forms. It is a bit as if the artist had sought to represent the process of a bodily and spiritual transformation. This is not a simple visual abstraction, but a quest to make palpable what escapes our senses, what is constantly evolving and which we cannot grasp in a fixed moment.
This work also evokes a temporal dimension: it seems to capture not a precise moment, but a series of successive changes. The more vibrant touches unfold over time, while the quieter areas evoke a transition to a more stable form, suggesting that transmutation is a constant process, both natural and universal.
