Analysis of the work “Sniper”
“Sniper” is a vibrant and energetic work that uses dynamic shapes and colors to capture the essence of the subject.
- Composition and form: The work presents a complex composition of geometric shapes. Curved and angular lines intersect and overlap, forming distinct patterns. This interconnection of shapes creates a sense of movement and tension, capturing the intensity of the hunt. An arrow passes through a target and misses a bird, betraying a narrative dimension. The scene underlines the idea of precision and chance in the act of shooting.
- Colors: The artist spreads bright, contrasting colors on the paper, dominated by shades of red, orange, yellow, blue and brown. - Techniques and textures: Pastel allows the artist to create a satin surface and fluid color transitions. The Kandayin , characterized by sharp lines and vibrant colors, enhances the visual effect which may seem busy, but remains balanced.

The patterns and colors evoke not only the act of aiming and shooting, but also the energy and tension associated with this action. The expressive eyes and angular shapes suggest an attentive and powerful presence, capturing the essence of the sniper in action. The arrow that passes through the target and misses the bird adds a layer of symbolism, suggesting that even the best shooters can sometimes miss their target, thus illustrating the fragility and uncertainty inherent in any human endeavor.
